Christmas 'Down Under' Blog Hop & Pete the Cat Freebie

Thanks for stopping by.

I am joining up with my friend Jodie
at
and some other Aussie bloggers for a fantastic blog hop.

If you are looking for some fun activities for Christmas, you really should come 'down under' and check out what pressies are waiting for you.

Everyone LOVES Pete the Cat!
He is one cool cat.

When Santa got sick, Pete was there to help out.
Just quietly, I think he just wanted an opportunity to visit us down here in the land of OZ!!
And... who wouldn't?
Australia is a beautiful country.

Enough said... I did this activity with my children last year. Take a peek.

I thought you might like to do this with your little ones this year.

I would love you to show your thanks by following my blog
and...
 I LOVE reading your comments.

You can download your

Pop on over to
and see Casey at
for more fun freebies.
Don't forget to follow the other bloggers' blogs
but most of all thank them for your pressie.

May the spirit of Christmas be with you throughout the coming year.

Pink!

Have you read the story Pink! by Lynne Rickards to your students?

In the story, we meet Patrick, a little penguin who wakes up one morning to find his world has been turned upside down. He’s turned pink! Patrick leaves his home and friends to find where he fits in but at the end, he realises that his friends still like him no matter what he looks like.

We also read  It's Okay to be Different by Todd Parr.

Both these books are great books to talk about diversity with your students.

We did a penguin craftivity and wrote about:

It's Okay to be Different

It is important for students to realise that it’s okay if they are different and they’ll still be accepted and have friends.

We also wrote about 'What is a friend?'

You can download a copy of this writing sheet HERE

I have put a mini unit together with activities to go with the story 'Pink!'

The unit will help your students accept who they are and realise
it IS okay to be different!

The Pink penguin craftivity and other activities are available
at TPT HERE

Snow ~ A freebie

Down here in Australia it is our Winter.
I know on the other side of the world you are enjoying the summer months. Lucky you.

We have been doing winter activities in my classroom so here is a freebie. It's a cute poem about Snow. I have given you different copies so you can use it as you wish.

I would love it if you gave me a comment if you like the poem.

Insect or Not? Freebie

We are on our end of term break and  I have no classroom stuff to post so I have two worksheets for you to add to your insect unit.

This is a sorting activity. Your little ones need to cut out the pictures and paste them into the correct box:  insect or not an insect.
This worksheet reinforces your little ones' knowledge about insects.

These worksheets are available for free at my TPT store HERE
