Checkin' Chicken Reading Strategy
The Beanie Baby reading strategies are so good to have in the classroom. They are great to remind early readers of the strategies they need to use when reading. As a Reading Recovery teacher, another strategy we teach children is to make their eyes go to the end of words and check the ending. I came up with 'Checkin' Chicken' to add to the Beanie Baby strategies.

Hi Rhonda, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. You wouldn't believe it, but I was actually on your blog just an hour ago (for the first time) after seeing it on Custom Blog Designs. I am just going through and looking at getting mine done. I didn't realize you were an Aussie blogger. As you said on my blog, there aren't many of us from Australia in the teaching blogging world. I'm in Queensland and your newest follower!
